 Responsibilities

Oaktree is seeking an associate to work within the Global Private Debt Group based in New York.  The Associate will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed financial modeling;
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Developing and maintaining business and industry due diligence;
  • Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation and negotiations;  and
  • Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience as an analyst with an investment bank within principal strategies, structured solutions, prop desks, leveraged finance experience or an buy-side Analyst role preferably in liquid or private credit.
  • Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.

  • The candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • He/She will be team-oriented and collaborative and must possess strong integrity and professionalism.

 

Education

 Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college.

 

Base Salary Range  $150,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.  The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
