 Responsibilities

Oaktree is seeking an Associate to join the Real Estate team in its New York office. The Associate will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of real estate equity transactions for Oaktree’s Real Estate Equity strategy.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading execution efforts on underwriting and closing;
  • Preparing detailed financial modeling;
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Developing and maintaining business and industry due diligence;
  • Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation, negotiations and closing;
  • Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use;
  • Presenting deals at investment committees;
  • Monitoring the performance of existing investments.

 

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience as an analyst or associate with a top investment bank or real estate investment fund;
  • Outstanding financial modeling, analytical and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance.

Education

 A Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college is required.
