Verus is in search of a private markets professional to join our office in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA. Our office culture is one that values in-person collaboration and interaction. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in private markets, preferably with a focus on real estate/real assets.
The private markets professional is responsible for performing manager due diligence, generating investment content, and supporting the Private Market Consultant with client service relationships. They will provide additional support on a range of other tasks as needed, including but not limited to, drafting RFP responses by providing data, analyses, and written responses as directed by supervisors and independently. They will effectively present research findings and conclusions internally, to client staff, and as needed to prospects. They are responsible for interacting with managers and intermediaries to collect data, including special ad-hoc requests. Job duties include analyzing data to reach, support, and present reasoned conclusions, drafting presentations and written reports, summarizing key data, findings, conclusions.

Prerequisites:
- Five or more years of experience with private market exposure gained at an Investment Bank, Private Equity Firm, Fund of Funds, Limited Partner or Private Equity Consulting Firm
- Real estate/real assets experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or other closely-related field
- Master’s degree in finance or MBA preferred and CFA charter and/or CAIA desirable
- Strong knowledge of Excel and familiarity with databases (e.g. Pitchbook)
Salary:
$90,000 - $150,000 DOE
The base salary range in this job posting represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this specific position and its unique job function within a specific job category. Salary offered to candidates is determined by factoring in market pay for the job function and job category, internal peer equity, education, credentials, relevant skills and expertise, past employment experience, and geographic pay differentials.
