Position: Transaction Services Analyst
Job Summary
The Transaction Services Analyst will play a key role in operations by ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of client requests. The individual in this role will be a senior member of the Transaction Services Group and will interface with client service, operations, portfolio managers, and other teams within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a background in transaction processing, excellent attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and the willingness to learn and master various workflows. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the client service and operations teams to process requests promptly and accurately. Such requests include cash receipts, cash disbursements, asset transfers, opening and closing of accounts, account data maintenance, charitable gifts, audit requests, and other transactions.
- Collaborate with supervisor to troubleshoot transaction requests to identify issues such as incomplete documentation, unclear instructions, or missing information.
- Assist supervisor with issue management, work prioritization, escalation, and remediation.
- Serve as a contact for our sub-custodian to address workflows and issues.
- Support colleagues on new or complex requests.
- Verify that transactions are executed properly on various systems and perform quality control on items executed by team members.
- Facilitate the client onboarding process and communication between the client service team and sub-custodian.
- Oversee requests for client portal system access, ensuring all requests are processed timely and accurately.
- Identify improvement opportunities in workflows.
- Flexibility to assist during heavy volume periods, such as quarter and year-end.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: BS/BA in a related field.
Length/Tenure: 4 to 6 years of Trust, Investment Operations or similar financial services industry experience.
Specialized Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and SS&C Advent product suite a plus.
- Strong sense of integrity and teamwork, dedicated to high quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Able to interpret and articulate questions, issues, and explanations orally and in writing.
- Experience in a regulated bank and trust company environment is preferred.
This is a full-time position based in Boston, MA. Boston Trust Walden is currently operating in a hybrid manner with a mix of in-office and remote work. Specifics are dependent upon the team and should be discussed with the hiring manager.
